Thistle Dress

Sturdy yet graceful like its namesake, the Thistle Dress has a fitted bodice with either a standard or bateau neckline. Sleeve options include a fitted standard sleeve in short, half, or full lengths, a trumpet sleeve or an elegant bishop sleeve. For the skirt, a high/low overlay in knit over a gathered full circle skirt. Layer multiple skirts for dramatic effect or make a peplum top.

Sizes newborn through 12 years.

Recommended fabrics include:

Medium weight knits with 25 – 40% 2 or 4-way stretch jerseys like cotton Lycra, rayon, linen, or bamboo blends, Interlock Twist Yarn (ITY), or Double Brushed Polyester (DBP). The gathered skirts can be made with knit, or with woven fabrics such as poplin, lawn, sateen, taffetta, crepe, charmeuse, chiffon, etc.
