I didn’t realize I hadn’t posted anything about my newest adult pattern here – the Adult Pixel Pullover. It was released a little over a month ago with One Thimble digital sewing magazine, and has just come home to Jennuine Design!
The sizing is consistent with my other adult pattern – the Adult LOL Swing Top and Dress, or US sizing 000 to 32. That overlaps a bit with my youth size chart so that those teens or small framed adults who are right on the edge of children’s sizing aren’t left wondering which pattern will work.
We had a lot of fun with this pattern test! Since it was for One Thimble, there was a theme for the edition: Intergalactic. For my final version, I had this great Van Allen print from Jumping June Textiles that was just perfect for that space theme.
And I wasn’t the only one to embrace the theme – tester Deb used this amazing holographic knit for her shawl collar version.
Liesel added the phases of the moon to her crew neck Pixel.
And Kit used stars for her hoodie.
The key feature of the Adult Pixel Pullover is the saddle sleeve. A saddle sleeve is kind of a hybrid between a set in sleeve and a raglan – it follows the armscye of a standard sleeve almost to the point of the shoulder, and then angles towards the neckline. It is a two-part sleeve with a front and a back that allows for a lovely shape over the shoulder that you don’t find with one-piece raglan sleeves. There are four neckline options for the Adult Pixel Pullover: a crew neck, shawl collar, scuba hood, and wide cowl. The cuffs can be regular or thumhole cuffs, and the waistline can be finished quickly with a band, or a nicely curved hem.
With the Adult Pixel Pullover returning home to Jennuine Design, there is a special shop-wide sale. Use code APIXELRELEASE to take 30% off all patterns.
Hi I love this!
