Hyacinth Moto Leggings :: Sew Fab Pattern Sale

I really wish I had time to sew ALL the patterns for the Sew Fab Pattern Sale, because they are all AMAZING!!

I’ve looked over all the pattern files and will definitely make the time to sew them when I get a chance.  Having just come off a whole lot of sewing for my girls, I wanted to make something that I could enjoy.

I decided to make the Hyacinth Moto Leggings by Cucicucicoo.  This is the first pattern I’ve made from Lisa, and it won’t be the last!  The Hyacinth Moto Leggings have two views: View A has the typical moto style ridged thigh panel, and View B is a plain panel.  They can be made in full length or crop and have options for regular or high waist.

I was fully intending to make the ridged moto panel, but I was just humming along and cut the plain piece instead of the rectangle to sew the tucks into first.  So I went with it, and honestly I’m glad I did, because I’ve been wearing these nonstop since I finished the last hem and I think my friends might have caught on if they had that extra detail!

I really like the subtle-but-edgy style of these leggings.  I used a jegging fabric with the appropriate 4-way stretch and these will definitely be part of my daily wardrobe.  I’ve worn them with casual slip on shoes, these moto styled boots, and even with Saltwater sandals and they look great with all of them.

Next time I’ll shorten the upper thigh just a hair so the knee panels stay on my knees.  I am the height these are drafted for – Lisa includes a natural waist to floor measurement, and I suspect I just have shorter thighs and longer calves than the what she drafted for.

The Spring 19 Sew Fab Pattern Sale is only on for a couple more days, so be sure to build your bundle before it’s gone!  Remember, the more you buy, the less each pattern costs:

Oh, I love how they came out! I definitely need to get myself some stretch denim to make my own jegging version! 🙂 Lisa
