Phew! I am so glad the Project Farmer’s Market collection has released! The anticipation after getting the Jonagold Jumper ready for release was making me so antsy. It was an amazing experience working with the other designers to collaborate on a cohesive theme, patterns that would work well together, and coordinate photo shoots to feature each other’s patterns. I’ll post separately about the rest of the items I made from the collection, or you can check out the look book Celina created here.
I designed the Jonagold Jumper to be a versatile part of the Project Farmer’s Market capsule wardrobe. It layers over all the tops in the collection. I’ve paired it here with the Rosemary Blouse by Audrey of Project Run & Play, but it looked equally as good with the Banana Boat Tee designed by Jessica of Lil Luxe Collection. Other contributors styled it with the UpBeet Tee by Celina of Petit A Petit + Family.
There are two options for the bib – curved as pictured here, or straight across. The straight bib gives a more unisex and classic vibe. There’s an optional large pocket for the bib. Here I’ve added a little chicken scratch embroidery on the gingham. There are multiple methods for attaching the straps: buttons, snaps, suspender buckles, or my favorite – knots tied through grommets.
The sides of the bib scoop down to the low waist and the entire silhouette is very relaxed and easy fitting. The shorts/crops/pants option all have a slightly dropped crotch for comfort.
Two pockets on the front for all those “treasures” kids accumulate. There’s a curved pocket option and this square one. This is the skirt option on Arden; there’s also shorts, crop length pants and long pants.
The yoke narrows up to a high strap attachment. To get the strap length just right for the options, there are two different cutting lengths provided as well as lengthening/shortening instructions.
Here’s all the amazing tester versions – these ladies worked so hard to get the pattern just right for all of you. This shows the other options available, and that it works for all flavor of kids from size newborn to 12 years.
You can get the Jonagold Jumper for a 20% discount through March 17. For a bigger discount, pick up one of the mini capsules for 25% off – the Jonagold is in the unisex bundle. The best deal is on the entire collection at more than 30% off. The bundled pricing will continue after the release sale, but the individual patterns will go to regular price.
I also have a fun extra for you! Head over to my shop for the FREE Rancher Bandana. It’s an easy and quick sew perfect for babies through adults (or even dogs!).
For babies through toddlers, there’s a bib style with snap fasteners.
The cowl style slips over the head and is great for toddlers through adults – or dogs!
And a single size tied bandana works for all ages worn around the neck or as a head scarf.
Check back each day on the Project Run & Play blog to see what’s being featured! The rest of the designers will be posting, as well as contributors and testers.
I purchased the Jonagold Jumper today and I am not seeing where I download it – it is not in my mail. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
I’ll send you an e-mail to get this straightened out.
