Yay! It’s here, it’s here! I’m ready to begin collecting information to select testers for my Moto Jacket pattern.
The pattern is unisex (yay! I’m not leaving the boys out this time!) for kid’s sized 2T to 12 Years.
The main part of the jacket can be made using durable woven fabrics such as denim, canvas, twill, ripstop canvas, wool, or leather – but I’ll be asking testers to hold off on the leather goods until later in testing. The sleeves, collar and welts on the pocket are knit or a combination of sweatshirt fleece and ribbing. This is a great candidate for some sweater up cycling! A separating zipper and lining fabrics. No need for slippery linings, since only the body of the coat is lined. I didn’t use facings on the first version pictured, but the pattern is written with facings.
Testing to begin on Monday, June 8 and will go a week or more depending on how many revisions are needed. I run testing through a Facebook group for testers, so access to Facebook is required. Sign up is by Google doc, click over here to put your name in the hat! I also have a link in my Jennuine Design Pattern Group.
I would love to test sew this jacket. I could do a size 12 if that size is available.
