Hooray!!  STYLO Edition 4 is here!  I’ve been dying to be able to share this behind the scenes look from Mouse House Creations!
The theme of this edition is STYLO no.04: HIGH FRUCTOSE, so everything revolves around bright citrus-y colors.  Hayley’s concept was to sew a collection of white and gray clothing and then set the kids loose with non-toxic fabric paints to transform them into color splashed masterpieces!
When Hayley began posting little peeks into her preparations for her photo shoot, I practically fell off my chair waving my hand to volunteer to help out however I could. Â Hayley lives a little over an hour away, so participating somehow was completely feasible.
She already had photography covered and her Mum and other parents were wrangling kids.  So I volunteered to record the whole shoot and put together a video for you all!

Folks, this was seriously so much fun! Â It was unseasonably cool that day, but the kids had a blast! Â I put my DSLR on a tripod using video mode, and then used our rarely-used video camera for the moving shots. Â Things worked out that I had Hadley in tow and she tagged right along with me. Â My mini videographer’s assistant! Â I brought her little camp chair and some things to keep her occupied and she did great.
She’s under there keeping warm and playing Princess Tea Party or some other app.
I’d love to hear what you thought of the edition of STYLO! Â I have it on good authority that a few of the contributors used my patterns for their looks. Â To celebrate, I’m offering 20% off all my patterns with code “STYLO” in both my own pattern shop and Etsy, good through Monday, May 25.
BRAVO, JENN, from your video & photos, looks like a SUPER F-U-N time for all the kids wearing grey and white STYLO clothing and spraying bright non-toxic paints! You explained how you shared arranging this event with Hayley. THANKS so much for sharing this event on your website! Sarah in Minneapolis
It was seriously so much fun!
That is so cool! What a great idea to film this. Totally something to remember!
I’m kind of getting excited about video editing now – video everything!
This issue is so beautiful. Everyone did a fabulous job!
