Welcome to Day 3 of the Haven Acres Mini Collection tester tour!
Today I thought I’d talk a bit about why I decided to do a collection instead of testing and releasing individual patterns.  The whole thing began when I wondered if the pants I made for Arden during Project Run & Play would work as a leggings pattern.  So I took my paper drafts and sketched out a leggings pattern with the panels – and they worked beautifully!  Then I figured if I was going to do the leggings I may as well add the cap I made as well.  And if you give a pattern designer a hat and pants, then you’re probably going to have to have a shirt as well!
I reserve the right to make the coat at some point in the future. Â Three was enough for now!
First up on the tour today is Melissa from Rebel & Malice. Â You might think this is a lot for one outfit, but I happen to know there’s a certain eight year old who thinks it’s fabulous! Â Arden quickly agreed, so it’s got the ten and under vote for sure. Â Regardless of whether you’re in their voting pool or not, you have to agree that each piece on it’s own is stunning! Â Read more from Melissa here.
Laura from Crafty Hour is going to talk about one of the fun twists of the Dressage Leggings pattern.  The way the panels and main portion of the pattern work together, it’s possible to mix woven fabrics with stretch with knit!  Laura gives more insight here.
Love this collection!
Can’t wait for the coat 😉
