I’m participating in Sew Mama Sew’s Giveaway Day with your choice of patterns from my shop.
I’ll make it easy and just ask for you to comment with your favorite sewing technique to enter. Â I’d love it if you followed A Jennuine Life on Bloglovin’, followed my Facebook page, or Instagram. Â If you do any of those, just leave a separate comment saying so.
Happy Giveaway Day!
I have really gotten into french seams. They take just a bit longer but make the seam look so much better especially if you don’t have a serger. I follow you on FB
I don’t know if I have a favorite technique…I do love the look of twin needle hems though (is that a technique?).
Double needle stitching is my favorite technique. I’m also sort of dying for a coverstitch machine 🙂

My favorite sewing technique is to add applique to my creations. I love to be able to vary the colors and threads to make a piece unique. I also like to add a monogram or name.
I follow your blog on Bloglovin’ and enjoy each post!
I can’t decide. I just love variety. And I may enjoy putting in zippers more than the average person…

Erm, my fav technique? is to learn it on Craftsy before I do it. So cool being able to see it up close being done first.
Following you on bloglovin’. xo
I love stick-on spray, it helps me a lot with appliqués, zippers and more.
Thanks!
I really like topstitching. It gives such nice details to a garment.
I love pleats and pin tucks!

I am not sure what my favorite technique is…I cannot think of anything I can say I have “mastered.” But I follow on bloglovin!
I love applique x
Zippers or piping if those count!
I like to do french seams for a nice finish.
My favorite sewing technique is adding a faux rolled hem to the edges of fabrics when making dresses or skirts. I just use my normal 4 thread serging but make the stitches a bit closer together. When I pull knit fabrics when serging, it makes a nice scalloped edge.

I like French seams for a professional finish.
I follow you on bloglovin 🙂
I learned to sew when I was in 4-H and then took a very long break from it with only occasional items here and there. Since having children now and following a lot of sewing blogs I’ve found that top-stitching has really made my handmade’s look a lot more professional and that is so rewarding. Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway.
I love how topstitching makes a garment look so professional!
My favorite technique is using my zig zag foot to finish seams.
I still get nervous with my sewing machine so my favourite sewing technique is actually hand sewing, slow and steady.
Now a fan of your facebook page too 🙂
Tie between flat felled and French seams.

I am a lifelong learner, so I love it all. As for quilting, Guilds, retreats, classes, etc continue to challenge the mind and the broaden the experiences. I have three Grand Ones, so sewing for them is just as fun! Looking forward to checking out some of your clothing patterns for them!!
I love color blocking

My sewing hasn’t been the same since I learned to sew a French seam. Things look so much more professional and polished and sit so much better with a nice French seam. I just love them.
I can’t live without my serger/overlocker machine!!

I love using bias tape!
Making my own bias tape – it makes everything look nicer!
Pretty sure handsewing is my least favorite technique, but my favorite sort of stumped me– I’m going to go with hemming with bias tape.
Now following on bloglovin!
I’m just beginning to experiment with different types of fabrics other than your basic cottons, and I’m having a blast with it! I still consider myself an advanced beginner, even though I’ve been sewing for years, so it’s been lots of fun.
Straight lines, ha!

Thank you so much for this chance ^_^
I don’t know what is my favorite technique, French seams are so clean and professional but twin needles give the same sense of accuracy too
I guess that the more you know the better the sewing is
I don’t know… topstitching?

I love shirring with elastic thread – and my serger! not sure that qualifies as technique, though =) thanks for the giveaway!
I like using flat felled seams, especially with boys pants
There is very little I don’t like about sewing. I do like variety. When I’m quilting, I don’t cut all of the pieces out before I sew; I cut some, sew some, press some, look at them on the wall some, rinse and repeat.
I sewed welt pockets recently, and that was stinking awesome.
I follow you on bloglovin’. Thanks for the giveaway!
These patterns are great! thanks for the chance to win.
I love lengthening my stitches when I’m topstitching. Thank you for the giveaway!
I’m not sure that it is a technique but I love the result that an invisible zipper gives to a garment. I have to look up how to do it every single time though. I can never remember how to do it correctly.
I enjoy hand binding my quilts. I feel that it gives me a moment to calmly enjoy the care and love that has gone into each piece. Thank-you for the chance!
On clothes, adding extra rows of stitching on skirt hems. On quilts spiral quilting.
Just added you to my Instagram
I’m working on invisible zippers. I like the look so much better, but so far have only figured it out when I sew them by hand.

Not my favorite technique, but one that I have to get better at is putting in zippers.
I love couture techniques. It’s a challenge to sew a garment so it’s beautiful inside as well as out. I’ve learned different handstitches and seam finishing techniques as well as tricks to clip, turn and press corners and curves. Still lots to learn!
Thanks for the chance!
