I am so giddy to get the opportunity to play around with this great line of products from Amy Tangerine called “Plus One”!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen when my box of happy arrived in the mail! Look at all the goodies in there!
The Amy Tangering Plus One collection of paper craft greatness will be available for sale on HSN beginning on March 24th. This Plus One collection was the top selling signature line of this winter, selling out in most stores and online. There are five bundles in the line: a basic kit, an embroidery kit, and embellishment kit, and a stamping kit each priced at $20 which is an amazing value!
Additionally, the sold out Plus One Project Life Mini Kit will also be available at a great discounted rate! I don’t really do scrapbooking, but this I’m pretty sure even I could manage! I mean, how cute are all those card prompts and there’s no cutting or gluing – you just journal on the cards and slide them into the pockets to go along with your photos.
Each new thing I picked up, I was like “that is so cool!”, but it was the embroidery package that made my heart do a little flip-flop!
Arden just turned five and we celebrated with a pony party complete with a visit from my cousin and her pony, Sweet Pea! I thought it would be great to make a little banner to send to Angel to decorate Sweet Pea’s stall at the farm as a way to say “thanks” for making Arden’s birthday so memorable!
I started by cutting the flags from some of the great scrapbooking paper included in my package. I cut 3″ x 4″ rectangles, and then an angled notch at the bottom. Then I used these great templates to poke the holes for stitching into the paper and sewed the letters up with the included embroidery floss and needles.
So easy with a great result! I was hanging out with my girls while I stitched these up and they were done in no time flat! I used a basic backstitch and three strands of embroidery floss.
Once I had each of the letters embroidered, I used a length of bakers’ twine and a zig-zag stitch on my sewing machine to create the banner.
Super cute!! I love the stencils!!
CUTE!!
This is seriously CUTE! I’ve been wanting to try the embroidery trend but I was a little intimidated! This looks so fun!
What a cute way to attach the banner!
So cute! Love the way you attached the banner to the string! So smart!
This is so cute, love it! And I love that you used the gray stripe paper vertically instead of horizontal.
I call my daughter ‘Sweet Pea’ all the time, I just love this sweet little banner!
Thanks so much everyone! I presented the banner to my cousin and she said she’d use in on Sweet Pea’s stall when she shows at the local County Fair this summer!
