Phew! That was a nice little break. I didn’t intend to take time off, but in the whirlwind of Project Run & Play and our family vacation to Florida immediately following, I just didn’t get around to scheduling any posts or asking for contributors while I was away. I could have brought some guest posts home, but I decided to just let it be and focus on what I needed to do: spend time with my family and …
Work on digitizing my first garment pattern! There’s definitely a ton more work to be done, but I was able to get a really good start on it. It’s a learning process, one that will hopefully set the stage for more patterns to come that will be infinitely easier the next time around. Also, Lauren Dahl‘s Pattern Workshop course should be available soon and I am super excited about that! Her free video courses are already so helpful, I get all giddy thinking about how nice the full course will be!
I’m also participating in the Knight Hoodie pattern tour by Charming Doodle. Have you seen this cool pattern? I sewed mine up for Arden yesterday and just need a few finishing touches and it’s soooo fun! I may or may not have wedged my head inside the hood so I could try it out for myself! Watch for my post on the 26th.
Arden and I did a joint project yesterday that will be the next two installments of Tiny Sewists: Teaching Kids to Sew. She’s doing so great and is super excited about sewing! The only problem is keeping her from planning project after project, many of them incredibly elaborate. Daddy is still waiting on his footie pajamas, and Grandma has been promised a green and pink sparkly dance costume.
It was fun to get away but now it’s back to life; back to reality!
Thank you so much for the link and all your encouragement!!
