You may have seen the news by now. I didn’t make it on to the next round of Project Run & Play. I’m sad, and had a little cry when I saw the news, but I’m okay. There’s plenty worse things than being eliminated from an online sewing competition, I know this. I spent the day with my girls and did some things with them that I haven’t had the time to do lately.
I have my refashion look completed and photographed so I’ll be sharing that competition look with you as part of the sew along. I found a location for the shoot that I’m pretty geeked about! I was concerned all along that my movie look might not be vote-inspiring, but that’s the vision I had and how I wanted to interpret it. Hadley loves her little dress and the huge pockets, and that’s the most important thing.
I am 80% done with the signature style look as well so I’ll be sharing that. The photo shoot might not be as involved as I had planned, and I might skip some small details I had in mind.
It seemed appropriate since I went out on the movie theme to end with closing credits and a thank you to everyone who helped me along on this journey:
But not really.
I loved your look this week! The color choices are just stunning and so is your daughter!
Lady! I am so sorry you got booted. I totally voted for yours! I loved the movie you chose, and how it was beautifully executed.
I can’t wait to see what else you made.
Your vision for this was divine, and the color combination was beautiful! You should be proud of your work. I can’t wait to see your other looks!
“But not really” – THANK YOU for ending with this. Before reading the post, I wanted to ask, “why couldn’t this be your opening credits?” You never know where this experience may take you ;). Chin up – you’ve truly been an inspiration to many! There are a lot of people waiting with ‘baited breath’ to see the rest of your creations!
