Phew! I am so glad the Project Farmer’s Market collection has released! The anticipation after getting the Jonagold Jumper ready for release was making me so antsy. It was an amazing experience working with the other designers to collaborate on a cohesive theme, patterns that would work well together, and coordinate photo shoots to feature {…Continue Reading}
Basically Jalie Blog Tour
You know by now that I’m a Jalie fan. It all began with my first pair of Eleonore’s that I whipped up in a hurry to go with a top I needed to photograph. Those fit so well and sewing went so smoothly that it was love at first sight. Fast forward a bit, and {…Continue Reading}
My Jalie #3896 Yoko
Yesterday I shared the very snuggly Yoko-as-a-blanket tops I made my daughters. Today I’m sharing my Jalie Yoko. Mine is much closer to the pattern as written. The only change I made was to lengthen the bodice by about 2.5″ to cover my @ss more completely. The measurements in the pattern include a shoulder to hem {…Continue Reading}

As soon as Kelly of Handmade Boy asked me to join the pattern tour for the Fighter Tee I was in!  You see, I would have joined her for darn near anything, but when she mentioned it was a fundraising project I was even more on board. Kelly is participating in a St. Jude Run as {…Continue Reading}
Schooner Tee & Dress Pattern Tester Roundup
Testing a pattern for fit, accuracy and clarity of instruction is essential in publishing a pattern.  The Schooner Tee had 29 testers working together to perfect everything.  Happily, the pattern only needed minor tweaks from the version they started with. Many of the testers have blogs or Instagram accounts so we put on a very informal blog tour. {…Continue Reading}
