Recently Hadley had a day with a couple of big firsts – her first trip to the dentist, and her first haircut: Choosing some goodies from the treasure box. She was cooperative enough to get some x-rays taken. Check out the cool shades! The happy patient! Both Arden and Hadley have a labial frenulum, a {…Continue Reading}

Five
So Arden dear, you’re five whole years old now. In the past I’ve shared all the firsts of the year, but as you get older there are fewer firsts to be had. Instead, this year has been more about developing and growing; letting your personality expand and shine. You are thoughtful and insightful. Quirky and {…Continue Reading}
Florida 2014
We took our annual trip to visit my parents in Florida at the beginning of February. Happily, we missed part of one of the rounds of frigid temperatures while enjoying the beautiful weather in Southwestern Florida. We took a couple of trips out on the boat, once to a sandbar, or what we call “shell {…Continue Reading}
What I’m Up To…
Phew! That was a nice little break. I didn’t intend to take time off, but in the whirlwind of Project Run & Play and our family vacation to Florida immediately following, I just didn’t get around to scheduling any posts or asking for contributors while I was away. I could have brought some guest posts {…Continue Reading}
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Did you gobble till you wobbled? We had turkey and the fixin’s at home with our little family. I covered the table in freezer paper and came up with this impromptu Thanksgiving tablecloth/name tag/decor. I kinda like it! It stayed like this for roughly ten minutes until the kiddos discovered it and {…Continue Reading}
Tinkerbell & Cheese Mouse Halloween
Tinkerbell and Cheese Mouse made for a successful Halloween 2013. I shared the construction of the various pieces of the Tinkerbell costume previously, and now I’ll show you the costumes in action as well as the details for the cheese mouse costume. The timing of the prelude Halloween festivities had me on a stock count {…Continue Reading}
Hadley Turns Two
My funny, quirky, opinionated, pony skipping Hadley. You do nothing halfway. From the moment you wake until the time you drift off to sleep, you are either the picture of happiness with your double dimples and contagious giggle or shrieking “notankyuu” as fast as you can while waving your little hand frantically! We went berry {…Continue Reading}
Hadley’s 1st Ballet Class
With much anticipation, Hadley had her first ballet class this week. She had been longing to join in with Arden’s class most of last year so we knew we had to enroll her this season even though she’s a little shy of the two year age expectation. I’m posting these photos chronologically so you can {…Continue Reading}
Catching Up
I feel like I’ve just been playing catch-up lately. Etsy orders are (happily) pretty constant – who knew nautical flags are popular during the summer, right? I’ve also been having a ball pattern testing over the last few weeks and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been making. My girls are thoroughly {…Continue Reading}
Tangle
Arden, Hadley, and I were able to enjoy a really cool and unusual experience last month. My hometown has an active arts community and each year hosts an arts festival. One of the events was Tangle, put on by Polyglot Theatre. Polyglot is an Australian touring troupe and has other interactive programs. I love their motto {…Continue Reading}
