Haven Acres Mini Collection Tester Tour :: Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Haven Acres Mini Collection Tour!

Do you wonder how I came up with the names for the collection?  A year ago, I made an equestrian-inspired look as my first entry as a competitor in Project Run & Play.

It just so happens that I have a cousin with a pony named Sweet Pea.  She has a small farm called Haven Acres Farm (recently renamed Willowbelle Farms – I told her I wasn’t changing the name of my patterns!).  The leggings are named after dressage riding, which is a disciplined form of riding in which the rider wears breeches, often with a full seat panel of leather to help them “stick” in the saddle.

Julie at Our Chez Nous is well-versed in blending sizes to best fit her tall, slender daughter.  Having her perspective during testing helped me to catch a potential problem and correct it so customers could easily select the length from another size and follow those lines – even while using the paneled dressage version of the leggings.  Julie will talk more about how she perfects the fit in her sewing here.
