Now for my real Hey June June post! The Lucerne Blouse I made has been a wonderful addition as a separate to my closet, now this Amalfi Dress *affiliate link – is filling a different need.
And that need is to feel like a beautiful swan! Seriously, this dress makes me feel so light and floaty. It is even more so in this gorgeous striped bubble crepe from Raspberry Creek Fabrics.
The combination of the flow-y, floaty silhouette of the dress and the extremely lightweight fabric makes this an instant go-to dress for a Hey June June.
I made View B in size 20 based on my overbust of 42″. The pattern has bust darts and is drafted for a B sewing cup, which is how I measure. View B has the tea length and flutter sleeves. Normally I would add length to the pattern either at the bodice or skirt, but I felt like the bloused waist had enough vertical ease that I didn’t need that.
I’ve sewn several other Hey June patterns – the Cheyenne Tunic (which was the winner of my pattern head to head comparison), Lane Raglan, Lucerne Blouse and several City Park Tees for the girls. I love getting a chance to showcase Adrienne’s amazing patterns and see what everyone else makes during June.
I also get to host a giveaway of a Hey June Handmade pattern! It will be on my Instagram account, @jennuinedesign, is open to international entries and will be open for 24 hours.
Be sure to check out the other tour participants’ entries, and also share your Hey June June makes with hashtags #heyjunejune19 and #letssewthistogether. There’s even a special prize for the winner who shares a Hey June trifecta with #heyjunetrifecta! The prize packages are really great, so get your Hey June June sewing in gear!
