I’ve had this Alley Cat Romper completed for about six weeks now, but only just had the chance to photograph Hadley in it! Â Jessica of Lil Luxe Collection has a winner with this pattern.
I am such a fan of rompers in general, and this one just screams comfort! Â Hadley slept in this the first night after I made it, so if that’s not a testimonial I don’t know what is.
The back dips down to allow it to easily slip off the shoulders and down for undressing or potty breaks. Â I’ve had a couple people ask if a toddler can undress/dress herself and the answer is absolutely “yes”! Â Hadley (3.5) doesn’t need any assistance getting her romper off and back on again.
I love her double dimples! Â Hadley measured for the size 5 and the fit is great! Â My kids have broad shoulders, so I think it looks a little more cut in on the front than most versions I’ve seen. Â Hadley is wearing a Camper Hat, my first PDF pattern. Â I love these little hats – I need to make the girls a few more!
The fabric is from Lillestoff that I bought from Emrose Fabrics. Â The print is called Sterntaler, which is based on a German fairy tale which translates to The Star Talers. Â I had plenty left over from the “Pip”over dress I made for Frances Suzanne’s February Free For All.
I made one for Arden at the same time as this, but I haven’t had a chance to get her photos either.
CUTE ROMPER for young girl, especially
sewn in such FAB print fabric! BRAVO on the photo shoot with your daughter modeling the romper. Certainly you get compliments
When she wears this outfit. Thanks for sharing. Sarah in Minneapolis
