Aruba: One Happy Island

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love to travel and explore new places.  If you’re like me, you have a mental list of places you’d like to visit.  My list most definitely includes Aruba!  Everything I’ve ever heard about the island sounds so happy, fun, and relaxing.

Beautiful beaches, hiking, horseback and mountain bike riding, fabulous restaurants abound!  Those are the activities which attract me to Aruba.

There are miles of white sand beaches with every mode of relaxation or activity you could imagine.  From bustling resort beaches great for people watching or sand games to secluded beaches on the more rustic and wild coasts perfect for a little quiet reading time, or just gazing at the crashing surf.  I’d lean towards the craggy inlets and a good book, or check out the underwater scene by snorkeling or SCUBA diving!

Hubby Dave and I love a good hike, so we’d be sure to explore the 20 miles of rugged trail in the Arikok National Park.  Nearly 20% of Aruba is encompassed in the park which features beaches, indian caves, beautiful scenery, and bountiful wildlife.

I recently found myself on horseback for the first time in years, and it reminded me how much fun it is to experience the thrill of a ride on a gentle giant.  We could also dust off our mountain biking skills and explore the island under our own power.

After all those active pursuits, I’d love to enjoy the island’s many restaurants.  From resort to independent, local to international cuisine, or casual to fine dining – Aruba has it’s bases covered.  I always enjoy finding gastronomic gems hidden in out of the way locales.

If I haven’t yet convinced you, check out this video for even more insight into what the happy island of Aruba has to offer:

I’ve only brushed the surface for what Aruba has to offer.  Whatever your “happy place” is, I’m certain it’s also known as “Aruba”!
