Arden chooses the theme for her birthday party each year. This year she went back and forth between a Doc McStuffins party, various single colors, and a brief stint as a ballerina party before finally arriving at a rainbow party. Or, it’s just that I said enough’s enough and I have to get the invitations mailed so it’s a rainbow party.
I made the invitations using an image I found online of a children’s artwork watercolor rainbow. I edited it in Picmonkey and added a translucent overlay to fade it a bit. The clouds are speech bubbles with the tail outside of the border. I normally like to include a picture of the birthday girl in the invitations, but this year it just worked better without.
Now on to planning food, decorations, activities, and favors – there’s so much inspiration for rainbow parties out there; I think my biggest problem will be narrowing things down to a reasonable level!
