Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores: We Teach!

I take a trip to my local Jo-Ann store at least once a week it seems.  It’s the source for the vast majority of the material I use in my Etsy shop as well as sewing for my family and home.

A few weeks ago, there was a notice on the door that said they were looking for instructors for sewing classes, so I asked about it and filled out an information page.  I’ve completed the interview process and I am scheduled to teach at least two classes at my local store which was recently renovated to include a classroom with sewing machines for seven students.

If you’re in the tri-city area of Michigan check out the classes being offered at the Majestic Square Jo-Ann in Essexsville.  I’m currently scheduled to teach how to make a reusable tote as well as a kid’s class to make a girl’s knit top.  The next session begins in March, so there’s still time to sign up!  I hope to meet some local friends there!
