Top Ten of 2012

I love seeing these posts by other bloggers and it’s fun to review what posts were popular at A Jennuine Life for 2012.  Ironically, many of these weren’t written in 2012 – I’m not sure if that means I’m off my game this year, or if I should be happy my older posts have such staying power?  If you want to go back and see, many of them also appear in Top Ten of 2011.

So, here goes – my most viewed posts for 2012 as provided by Google Analytics:

10.  Arden’s Pink Party has been popular – I think the pink food is the main attractor:

9.  I whipped these adorable Baby Shoes out for Hadley while she slept in the Moby wrap – made for easy fittings!

8.  Born from necessity, I added some elastic and buttons to make a cute pair of shoes functional in a Shoe Rescue:

7.  While getting Hadley’s nursery ready, I made this great Alphabet Wall Art using prints from an Etsy seller. 

6.  A Project Toddler Runway project – Plum Pleats Pinafore Top.  Look how little Arden is!

5.  A little Halloween fun with the Minion Costume I made for Arden.  I love that she chose a non-girly character!

4. A really fun (and mostly free!) project was the DIY Ladder Shelf from Reclaimed Wood I made shortly after Hadley was born.  This is being fully utilized in my sewing room.

2. My entry for the DecoArt challenge in One Month to Win It – Brag Blocks:

… and number one for 2012 which was actually from 2011 – Arden Refashioned Shirt Dress.  Hadley should be growing into these dresses shortly – yay!

Perhaps even more interesting than which posts were most popular, is how people arrived at A Jennuine Life:

* Pinterest is far and away the largest referrer with 33% of my referred traffic. 
* Google comes in next with 10%.  The most searched terms landing them here were:

• Pinafore Pattern
• Baby Shoes Pattern
• Christmas Tree Skirt
• DIY Ladder Shelf

* After that, I get a really large number of hits from one off-handed referral to my Arden Refashioned Shirt Dress tutorial to help explain a step in her tutorial on Little Miss Southern Charm in July of 2011.  Thanks for the mention!
