I squinted my eyes shut and hit submit – I entered a project for consideration for two open spots in the next season of Project Run & Play.
There’s just one or two eensie little concerns:
-
The project needed to be something you’ve created since October. I’ve been working so much on Jennuine Design shop orders that my only choices were ladybug costumes, heart patch trousers that I barely photographed, or the really cute (but really simple) sweater refashion. The sweater refashion went in. Even if it’s not that impressive, it represents what I like to do the best of my recent projects.
-
I’m having surgery on my sewing foot on December 21. I know for sure I’ll be in full toes above your nose mode for at least a week, so that means I won’t be able to sew (except for the pioneer way) during that time.
-
I’m going to Florida with just the girls to visit my parents the second half of January. That makes for much more convenient photo shoots, (let’s just say January in Michigan doesn’t lend itself to outdoor natural light photography unless you’re modeling outerwear) but I’d have to use my Mom’s functional-but-not-at-all-my-dear-Jane sewing machine.
So, I’m hoping/not hoping/super conflicted and I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. If I do make it, it would continue my streak of January sewing/crafting blog competitions – Project Toddler Runway in 2011 and One Month To Win it in 2012.
Oh, and I haven’t told Dave about this because he thinks I’m nuts to begin with and totally doesn’t understand blog competitions at all – so don’t tell him, kay?
