I shared the Kid’s Duffel I made for my nephew Jack’s birthday here, and knew when I made it that I wanted to make one for Arden. It’s stuffed with bears for the photo shoot, since the one I modeled it after was full of beanie babies, that’s what Arden thinks should go in there – too funny!
This is more fab IKEA fabric from the “as is” section – amazing deals to be found for discontinued fabrics. I’m a tad confused why this fabric was there, as they were selling the same pattern by the yard in the main section. I guess don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, since I love the colors and pattern and it was $30 for the entire bolt of fabric!
This is the bag I’ll pack with Arden’s necessities for during delivery. Since I’ve only got four weeks left until my due date, we’ll start schlepping this around with us stocked with a day’s worth of clothing and all her overnight necessities. I never considered that I’d have to have two hospital bags packed for the second child!
Embroidered name tag – again, this isn’t meant to be carried around in public, so I like the idea of a name on it.
I cut fabric to make two of these – the other will be in my Etsy store shortly! I’ve done some searches and I don’t find anything similar, so hopefully they will be popular. I’ll do the green striped ones as well, though I don’t have as much of that fabric.
I’ve created a tutorial for this – check it out here!

I would love it if you gave dimensions and a quick how-to! This looks like a quick project I would like to try.
I MUST have a tutorial! This is absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing.
